Book, Saunders run first at Madison Courier 10K – An 18-year-old Providence High School graduate and a 28-year-old former Goshen College runner were the top male and top female finishers in the 31st annual Madison Courier 10K Run on Saturday morning. The race, an official Madison Regatta Festival event, was contested under cloudy and cool conditions with a field of 281 runners competing.

U-37 Miss Bello's Pizza driver Jean Theoret crashes in Lap Three of Heat 1B at the Madison Regatta on Saturday. Theoret's boat went around 360 degrees sideways and landed on its left sponson in Turn One. He was critically injured in the crash and transported to King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Ind. A spokesman for the American Boat Racing Association said Theoret was in "critical but responsive" condition.
