Before the rehearsal, Maginn, Chambers and co-stars Katie Walters and Kacie Rowlett presented a check for $500 to Amy Perkins, executive director of Pathways Youth Shelter and Family Services. The donation was from the theater parents group. Other characters in the �White Christmas� cast include Claire Schell in an Oxydol detergent box.

A 1969 Mercury that was smashed when it overturned on Hanging Rock Hill on Wednesday awaits towing while the tow truck driver cleans up the roadway. Police said Shane Rowlett, 16, of 1664 Telegraph Hill Road, was northbound on Cragmont Street around 8:40 a.m. and crossed the double yellow line to pass another car. When he went back into his lane, he lost control of his car and went up the embankment on the east side of the road, police said. His car rolled onto its top in the road, police said. Bark was stripped from a tree next to the road by his car. Rowlett was taken to King�s Daughters� Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening, police said.
