Dozens of people band together for third annual Disabilities Awareness Week walk in Carrollton. The third annual walk had a record number attend. The event was organized after the death of Rickey Sandusky’s mother, who had a wish for her son to graduate high school. He did graduate following his mother’s death.

Riverwalk extensions dedicated

The recently completed extensions of the riverfront sidewalk were dedicated Sunday with a ribbon-cutting at the western end of the 1.3-mile walkway. Afterward, members of the Riverfront Development Committee toured the walkway, then stopped at the point near the gazebo, ostensibly to look around. But it soon became apparent to Gayle Crozier, who was president of the committee from 1991 until 2008 that something was up when he ran into relatives he wasn’t expecting to see.
